My comment on what’s happening

•February 5, 2012 • 2 Comments

I don’t know where to start. So many mixed feelings that block your vision, therefore can affect your judgment on things. I no longer know what’s good, which is the right way, what is the right path, and where are we going.

After the Portsaid massacre, there was a lot of rage in our heart, I myself felt so angry that I wanted to stand in the street and just shout as loud as I can down with military rule. I expected an angry reaction from revolutionaries and that’s what happened. Four days now clashes are erupting near the ministry of interior. As a result we lost more Martyrs and people are dying every day.

Inside of me, or maybe inside us all, there is a war going on. Part of me is saying this is useless and that we’re fighting the wrong battle and losing lives for nothing. Another part is telling me that this is a reaction for what happened, and that people are full of rage, and that this is the right thing to do, to fight tyranny and continue our resistance and struggle for freedom.

Both ways I respect and care for those pure Egyptian faces I’ve seen in Mansour or Mohamed Mahmoud street. These youth no longer hesitate to die; they go to the street “peacefully” and stand in the face of armed soldiers trained to kill. Some will ask why they do that?? Well that’s a very wrong question in my simple opinion. The question is why there is no real trial for those who killed our brothers till today? Why we still can’t find bread? Why the political parties have sold the revolution for their interests? Why 75 from our youth were butchered in PortSaid? Before asking people why you are angry, why you rage, why do you go and demonstrate in front of the ministry of interior, Ask the people ruling all these questions. If you get an answer, just let us know please we don’t want to die every day for nothing!

The Political situation in Egypt is so complicated that it will need pages to discuss. My focus in this post was to show why people are resisting tyranny, why people no longer care about living more than they care about freedom. The people ruling this country should know that a revolution can never be broken and that in the end it will prevail whether they like it or not.

My thoughts for Tomorrow..

•January 29, 2012 • Leave a Comment

“To be or not to be, that is the question” I begin my post with this immortal saying by Shakespeare that have influenced a lot of lives since the 16th century.

The future is unknown, that’s simply why we are afraid from it. The unknown is mysterious, unpredictable, uncontrollable, and yet we always look forward to it.

“The most beautiful things in the entire universe, are the most mysterious” a quote that I happen to agree with. The world we see in front of us presented in a flourished over hyped way, is actually so pale, uninteresting, and ordinary. We live the life presented to us and try to make ends meet until our day comes. On the other hand the world of tomorrow although unknown, is far more interesting. The world of tomorrow is where our hopes lie, where our dreams lie, where our wishes lie. It’s a world full of adventure and expectations. When we walk in a long street we always look ahead never backwards or sidewards, we always look ahead. We look ahead because we want to reach its end and see what’s up there down the road.

What I’m trying to say in this note is that we should look to the future with a positive feeling not the opposite. The future is where our hopes lie, where our dreams of a new life full of happiness lie. The future is always a chance for a new beginning. Every sunrise there is a new opportunity for us, we should never let it slip away, we should hold to it as much as we can. Moreover everyday passes from our life without grasping it, never returns. Therefore never let go of the future, never let go of your hopes, dreams, and wishes. If you believe in yourself, nothing will stop you.

I hope my post finds you, and finds you well. I hope we can try as much as we can to be optimistic and look forward to our future, I hope we can live every moment of our life happily, I hope we can all find the peace we search for. I hope..

“Remember hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies” The Shawshank Redemption.

28th of January 2011, The Greatest Day of our Lives..”In the loving memory of all Martyrs who passed away”

•January 28, 2012 • Leave a Comment

So many tears… In our life, we witness happy days, sad days, days full of joy and days full of boredom. Yet, we don’t witness great days often. During a lifetime spent in a corrupt country that makes of football teams’ victory a great day, I can confess that the only great day I’ve witnessed in my life was January 28th and of course January 25th.

I’m sure years from now, when we have a true, honest, and respectable state that appreciates our January revolution, I’m sure that they will stand in front of January 28th a lot and consider it not only a national holiday, but the most important day in the history of Egypt.

Some will argue that 6th of October is the greatest, I differ with that saying. In my own opinion starting 14 and 15 October 1973 the importance of this day to me at least was gone. The October war was a miracle, yet the unmoral, unprofessional administration of Sadat during the war, made it all fade away to me at least. Therefore we have an incomplete war, the mastermind behind the success of the initial strike and one of the greatest generals in the history of Egyptian Warfare Saad el Shazly firstly thrown out of the country, then detained and imprisoned by the inhuman, criminal, murder Hosni Mubarak, and last but not least Camp David Accords that began our fade away from the international scene and led to our downfall after being followers to the US administration and the Zionist state. A lot to argue in this topic, but that’s not the issue now, maybe another day.

January 28th. Why I consider it the greatest day in the history of Egypt. There are many reasons that I can’t state here, but to me only one reason is enough, Breaking Fear in our hearts.

Before January 28th we lived in fear. Fear of everything fear of our neighbors, fear of our coworkers, and even fear from ourselves. Egyptians were afraid to talk about politics or about what’s happening in our country from corruption and murder. When someone talked about it, people usually asked him or her to change the topic or say a joke!! That was our life before January 28th. When this day came Jan 28th, the Friday of Anger something changed inside us all, we became fearless.

When you stand against this day you’re just left speechless, it’s one of those few moments where talking or writing can’t add anything, just watch the pictures and see the bravery of our people  that day, something that will put you in awe all your life. Nothing in this life is worse than living in fear. Freedom is a very rare commodity in our world, and the curse of freedom is that when you touch it or feel it, you give it away only when you die. That’s one of the problems we’re facing now because these forces of evil can’t understand that we touched freedom, they don’t understand that they can’t take it from us and that we changed, we’ve become Free its now part of our soul, something within cannot be touched. .Of course I mean the free Egyptians not the people still living in their own fear waiting for a new tyrant to bring them security and don’t mind to lose their Freedom again.

I don’t want to write much, I can’t find words. I know that all our Martyrs who passed away this day are all in heaven watching over us and hoping that we continue our struggle against this corrupt regime and military dictatorship. I have only one request from them, to ask Allah to lighten our road and bless our country that deserves a lot, a lot better than what happened to its land. I wish this pure land can forgive us for what we’ve done to it all these years. Our struggle continues for Freedom, and it will continue until we can find Freedom Forever..

A Powerful message of Hope..

“It seems strange that my life should end in such a terrible place, but for three years I had roses and apologized to no one. I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must NEVER let them take it from us. I hope that whoever you are, you escape this place. I hope that the worlds turns, and that things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you.”

* * *

Don’t cry my beloved Palestine You’re the cradle of religion you’re the jewel of the region. Don’t cry my beloved Palestine brutes have occupied your sacred land but your children rose up stones in hand. Don’t cry my beloved Palestine Your womb is so generous your foe’s future is surely perilous. Don’t cry my beloved Palestine Keep on fighting and resist never compromise , give up or quit. Don’t cry my beloved Palestine You’ll free your holy land al intifada is your magical wand. Don’t cry my beloved …

A beautiful poem about my beloved Palestine (Re blogged not mine)
