I don’t know where to start. So many mixed feelings that block your vision, therefore can affect your judgment on things. I no longer know what’s good, which is the right way, what is the right path, and where are we going.
After the Portsaid massacre, there was a lot of rage in our heart, I myself felt so angry that I wanted to stand in the street and just shout as loud as I can down with military rule. I expected an angry reaction from revolutionaries and that’s what happened. Four days now clashes are erupting near the ministry of interior. As a result we lost more Martyrs and people are dying every day.
Inside of me, or maybe inside us all, there is a war going on. Part of me is saying this is useless and that we’re fighting the wrong battle and losing lives for nothing. Another part is telling me that this is a reaction for what happened, and that people are full of rage, and that this is the right thing to do, to fight tyranny and continue our resistance and struggle for freedom.
Both ways I respect and care for those pure Egyptian faces I’ve seen in Mansour or Mohamed Mahmoud street. These youth no longer hesitate to die; they go to the street “peacefully” and stand in the face of armed soldiers trained to kill. Some will ask why they do that?? Well that’s a very wrong question in my simple opinion. The question is why there is no real trial for those who killed our brothers till today? Why we still can’t find bread? Why the political parties have sold the revolution for their interests? Why 75 from our youth were butchered in PortSaid? Before asking people why you are angry, why you rage, why do you go and demonstrate in front of the ministry of interior, Ask the people ruling all these questions. If you get an answer, just let us know please we don’t want to die every day for nothing!
The Political situation in Egypt is so complicated that it will need pages to discuss. My focus in this post was to show why people are resisting tyranny, why people no longer care about living more than they care about freedom. The people ruling this country should know that a revolution can never be broken and that in the end it will prevail whether they like it or not.
